I am a Seattle native and though I’ve lived and worked in other parts of the US, Europe and Asia I returned to Seattle to call it my home. My office is in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle Washington and I live in the Ravenna neighborhood, just north of the University of Washington. I enjoy the outdoors by skiing, rowing, sailing, hiking, taking photos and indoor recreation by cooking, reading, watching movies and participating in social media. I love art and the creative process. You can find my online profiles on Yelp, LinkedIn, Facebook and Zillow.

John was our buyer’s agent when we were shopping for our first home. He was excellent, 5 out of 5 stars (I'd give him ten if they would let me!). Throughout the whole process John was instrumental, professional, available, accommodating, knowledgeable and enjoyable to be around. His construction background was extremely helpful in evaluating the condition of the homes we saw and in understanding what the time and cost of fixing or upgrading things might be. Not only was John extremely professional (we always felt he had our best interests at heart), but he always went the extra mile. He made himself available at all times and answered all my numerous emails and calls quickly and thoroughly. He set-up appointments for us to meet the neighbors, ask questions to the title officer, all inspections, etc, etc and came along to all these meetings to help out in any way. This was extremely helpful for us as this was our first time through this whole process. He was also extremely patient. We were very picky shoppers that definitely weren't willing to pay "sticker price" for our home; we wanted to get a great deal, especially given the economic climate. In addition to regular bids, we also bid on short sale homes, foreclosures and bank owned properties and he was instrumental in helping guide us through this difficult and time consuming process. His extensive knowledge in real estate contracts and negotiation strategy allowed us to make competitive and attractive offers even if our bid price was much lower than asking. In the end, we got our dream home and we couldn't be happier. We couldn't have done it without John!
We wholeheartedly recommend John Stewart to anybody looking to either buy or sell a home in the Seattle area! We were first-time home buyers and were therefore very new to the process of searching for and purchasing a home. John was a warm and knowledgeable agent who ably and patiently assisted us through the entire process and helped us find a home that we absolutely love. He is incredibly well-informed about the real estate market and his background in architectural building makes him adept at evaluating the structural aspects of a house that aren't always apparent to a layperson. He listened to our needs and assisted us in making truly informed decisions, eventually helping us to secure our dream home in a multiple-bid situation. He also has a vast network of connections in the Seattle area and was able to recommend excellent contractors for work on the home after purchase. We couldn't have been happier with the work that John did for us and we highly recommend him as a real estate agent!
John is the best real estate agent. He is very knowledgeable and the most important, he always listened to our concerns and needs. He helped us analyze the pros and cons of each home, tried to find the best fit for us. He helped us negotiate with the seller and in the end, we got a very good deal. We have lived in our new home for about a year. He still calls us sometimes to make sure everything is going well. If you need a trustworthy agent, I would recommend John without reservation.
John Stewart was the only real estate agent we contacted who was willing to help us find a rental property when we moved to Seattle from Virginia. He was consistently helpful, friendly, and honest. We look forward to working with John in the future if/when we decide to buy a home in the Seattle area, and we would highly recommend him to others seeking to rent or buy in the pacific northwest.
I feel like John was the reason our last house sold so quickly. He took some great photos of the old house and yard and wrote a winning description of it. I was afraid we would have to live in that house forever but it sold in a matter of days. I think he saw something in that old house that we didn't even see. Anyway it sold and that was a relief. John was also a great asset to us when we were shopping for a house. He's very knowledgeable about houses and was a valuable extra set of eyes when we would go into homes. He is a good listener too. I recommend him highly.
