How do I get a real estate license in Washington State?

To get your license, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a high school diploma
  • Successfully complete a 60-hour course in real estate fundamentals and a 30-hour course in real estate practices
  • Pass the state licensing exam
  • Apply for your license
  • Fingerprinting

How do I get a real estate license in Oregon State?

 To get your license, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a high school diploma, GED or international equivalent
  • Complete a real estate license application in eLicense, the agency's online license management system. When the application is processed, you will recieve an applicant ID number
  • Pay the $230 nonrefundable license application fee in eLicense
  • Complete the educational requirements (you must complete a state-approved prelicense program, real estate pre-licensing school, Online ED)
  • Pass the Oregon real estate license exam
  • Complete a background check
