Coldwell Banker Bain, a leading provider of real estate brokerage services throughout the Pacific Northwest, and a market leader in home sales in 2020*, announced Wayne Stephens has been named Principal Managing Broker of its Redmond office. Stephens is former branch manager of Coldwell Banker Bain’s Magnolia office and Manager in Development at Lake Union.
“I have had the pleasure to work with Wayne over several years and witness his dedication to helping people through a commitment to excellence in performance,” said Coldwell Banker Bain Executive Vice President of Operations, John Deely. “He has a great command of the real estate processes and has excelled his career to the delight of his clients and the brokers he works with. I am excited about his new position and the energy and quality leadership he will bring to our Redmond office.”
A native of San Diego, Stephens joined Coldwell Banker Bain in 2017 after a 25-year career in insurance, including 22 years at PEMCO working as a Homeowners Claims Supervisor and IT Manager. He received his managing broker’s license in February 2021 and was recently inducted into Seattle Kind County REALTORS®, where Stephens was appointed to the Governmental Affairs Committee.
“Wayne has been such a support, not only at the Magnolia office as Branch Manager, but also with the Lake Union office in teaching classes, assisting agents with transactions, forms questions, client relations, and more,” said Laurie Way, Principal Managing Broker of Coldwell Banker Bain’s Lake Union office. “We will miss him terribly here, but the Redmond office will greatly benefit from Wayne’s vast experience. We wish him well!”
A United States Air Force Vietnam Era Veteran, in his spare time, Stephens enjoys golf, cooking and various DIY home projects. He was also owner of Greenwood’s popular Armadillo Consignment for 10 years and is a Board Member of the Run To Win Kids Camps. Stephens is the father of two boys: Benjamin, a chef in Honolulu and Christopher who is at Tufts Dental School in Boston.
The Redmond PMB role was formerly held by Rick Costello, who has retired from Coldwell Banker Bain after more than 24 years and is relocating to Rhode Island.
